Jakarta, June 28, 2025 — Weekend Collective, a casual pop-up event blending music, diecast, and miniature art, was successfully held at d’wangsa9 – THE 1O1 Jakarta Sedayu Darmawangsa. This one-day public event brought together different communities and offered a full day of creative experiences packed with interaction.
Held in the vibrant South Jakarta area, d’wangsa9 served not only as a venue but as a creative partner that supports community-driven and alternative creative spaces. The venue proved its flexibility in hosting everything from markets to open discussions and cross-industry creative events.
“Weekend Collective isn’t just a market—it’s a space for collectors to meet, connect, and share stories,” said Greta Indri, Founder of Weekend Collective. “We’re happy to work with d’wangsa9, a venue that truly supports creative expression and community spirit.”
Event Highlights Included:
DJ Set by DJ Samana Portal
Spinning all day with an eclectic mix that set a chill yet upbeat mood for the entire event.
Interactive Talkshows
Three exciting sessions brought fresh insight for visitors:
Music & Physical Releases with Gimme Gimme Rekords, a Yogyakarta-based indie label and distributor established in 2020. With over 20 Indonesian indie bands under their belt, they brought a curated selection of vinyl, cassettes, CDs, and exclusive band merch to the event.
Diecast & Diorama Talk with Agus Wijanto, a well-known diecast collector, and Hadi from the Karya Seni dan Diorama community, shared how visual storytelling comes alive in miniature form.
Diecast Photography Session with Ricky Robertus, covering techniques, trends, and challenges in shooting diecast and miniatures as a creative medium and documentation tool.
Photo Competition
A special Diecast & Diorama Photo Competition added even more excitement, supported by Resin Car Model Indonesia, Indonesia Mini GT Collectors Club, Shasy Diecast, and Zukuri Projekt. Visitors were invited to capture their best mini scale creations using the themed diorama sets provided—merging technical skills with artistic expression in miniature photography.
Weekend Collective proved that collecting isn’t just about stuff—it’s about stories, memories, and personal expression. More than just buying and selling, this event created a rare but meaningful bridge between communities that don’t often cross paths, all connected by the shared joy of celebrating small things that matter big.
Looking ahead, Weekend Collective is set to continue as a collaborative platform for collectors, creators, and visual culture lovers—popping up in new formats and cities soon.
